Student Adventure updates for Summer Go Back

2017 has kicked off to a great start with plenty adventure tours taking place already. A few of the adventures we have done for our Student and Volunteer groups include Plettenberg Bay, Chintsa Wild Coast, Hogsback Mountain retreat, JBay and Tsitsikamma. There have also been loads of enquiries for shorter 2 day and day trips to Port Elizabeth and JBay, getting the groups off the Reserves for a good day outing. All the action is documented on our Facebook page and Instagram account, you can follow us and keep up to date by searching for Freewalkersa.

OUR FEATURED WEEKEND ADVENTURES: Freewalker Base Camp is up and running where we are offering the most cost effective and least driving distance for the Students. The Base Camp is situated on a 150 hectare private estate on Old Sea View road with Sardinia Bay 5 minutes away. Most of our free activities take place at the beach which includes snorkelling, sandboarding and volleyball, all great for the groups to get out and enjoy our coast and get active. Our Pelagic free dive weekend in Plett is our second option which allows Students to be based in Plett and have access to 2 days of snorkel dives in the ocean. The idea is to get groups to experience a dive with ocean wildlife after being on the Reserves for some time.

DRONE FOOTAGE OF ADVENTURES: Freewalker has a professional drone Guru who will be following our trips until April/May, getting some incredible footage of our tours. All these videos are posted and shared on Facebook and Instagram for the clients benefit. Very excited to see how much we can get done.

FUTURE PLANS: We are still trying to get more clients interested in our Eastern Cape to Cape Town (and vice-versa) trips, and the Transkei 4-7 day packages. These options will be aimed at the University students who are looking for adventure packages during their term breaks.

OUR FREE STUFF TO THE STUDENTS: Freewalker has been spending time and money on creating free adventure hats for every single student that joins our trips. We also have close ties with Red Bull and Nutritech who are supplying us with stock for the weekends. On the Base Camp weekend we have free wifi, free sandboarding, volleyball, beach activities, body boarding and offer free sandboarding on every trip. (Only if we can squeeze it in at Sardinia Bay after a trip).

Looking forward to showing your Groups the very best in adventure. We continue to produce real adventures and persist in delivering excellence to stay ahead of the pack. There are still companies taking students to petting parks, Lion parks and Elephant back riding, we have taken a stand to not support these type of activities as we do not agree with their morals. Please inform your groups that we do not offer these packages, as these activities are not a true reflection of ethical tourism in South Africa.
