Upgrade Vegetable Garden.
The vegetable garden at the school had been created by the parents and teachers at the school with the sole purpose of feeding the children who attend the school. Most of the children are reliant on food from the school for a decent day’s meal. There is a vegetable garden but does need some expert advice and there is definitely room to grow and grow more food for the children.
New Kitchen.
The school employs two parents to make food for the children from the vegetable patch. The children come to school with empty plastic containers and a spoon to be fed by the amazing women who cook for them every day in a very simple old room with a gas heater and big pots. With a little help we can create a better kitchen for the school and make it better for the women responsible for feeding the hungry children.
Tuck Shop. Lunch For Children, Kitchen.
This will most probably form part of the new kitchen seeing as there is not much availability of empty rooms to turn into new ventures. The tuckshop can run from the kitchen, at approximately the same times. The shop will sell goodies to the children at break times and after school.
Upgrade Fencing Around School, Children Must Be Protected.
The school has been vandalized in the past for some unknown reason. Every school needs good security around it to protect the scholars attending classes. We cannot afford to have funny people walking through the school grounds. Every child has the right to an education, let’s make it better without the worries of vandals and hooligans.
Renovations and Painting Of The School.
The school needs plenty of repairs done to it. Windows are broken, pipes are leaking, doors are falling off, walls are cracked and paint peeling off, to mention just a few. Help us get this special place looking amazing again. The pictures you can see indicate the need for this project to happen. The school looks dull and old. With your help we can give the school a new look and liven things up a bit. The library has been newly painted and looks strangely out of place but beautiful, the school would look amazing with a new paint job. The parents were so keen for the library to start that they came and offered to help and ended up painting most of the room.
Playground For Grade R Students.
The school has one small grade R class which is basically like pre-school. During break times the little guys have nowhere to play because they are in the same area as the older students. There is an available piece of grass patch that we could turn into a little play ground for the little ones. Hopefully this will attract more children to join the school.
